Seen this late last night. Keltec reviled it’s newest pistol, the P15 at the shot show.

Looks pretty neat a 15 round, striker fired thin and light double stack 9mm.

    From their website:
The KelTec P15 is a striker-fired, polymer pistol that weighs only 14oz and boasts a 15+1 capacity right out of the box. It’s the lightest, thinnest double-stack 9mm handgun on the market. The P15 is an excellent choice for concealed carry.

This pistol is .875 inch wide, MSRP $425

Wonder how this is going to go? I know Keltec has had some issues over the years.

I think the one place they missed, as far as marketing goes, is that it doesn't have a cutout for an optic. The younger generation likes optics on their guns.

Kel Tec guns are not pretty but they work. My P3AT has been one of my most reliable pistols. Years before that, I had a P11, which at the time, was one of the smallest double stack pistols out. I had a Sub 2000 which never had a hiccup and I only sold to get a lesser recoiling PCC due to age.

Where function counts, Kel Tec delivers in spades.

I’m not good at posting links, but the video I seen on YouTube, showed it to be optics ready. Some type of plate system. I think it was TFB that put up the video.

It does, a large section on the rear of the slide is removed, and they plan to make a series of adapter plates, the way they do it mounts the optic really low compared to something similar like GLOCKs MOS. It's a cool pistol, and can use 12rd flat base mags. Of course with Keltec it comes down to what cheap bone head features they stuck on an otherwise great design.

I've convinced myself that it isn't that Kel-Tec couldn't make nicer looking guns, it's that for some reason they choose not to. Can't quite put my finger on it. It's like those girls in high school who go out of their way to dress frumpy and wear ugly shoes because you have to like them for being them, dammit, or something - I dunno. They don't have to HIRE a designer ... they could just rent one for a couple of weeks and let them say, "You know, if you just gave this a whiff of a curve here, and buried these mold joints in designed line, it would look less like a high school project."

I don't find this one as deliberately ugly as some of their others, though. And, thinner than my P365 with 15? I'd have to shoot one to see what I really thought about it. Diminishing things even more than Sig did might produce diminishing returns, if you know what I mean - I've got big hands.

My guess will be a crappy trigger that is difficult to replace or otherwise clean up.

I retract my statement. The teaser they sent me didn't have a picture of the top of the slide and the text didn't mention it. Go figure.

The aluminum frame one was pretty neat, and felt good in the hand. The trigger is not amazing, but it's usable. There was nothing about these guns that made me want to dump my P320s for them, but Kel-Tec's centerfire pistols tend to be heavily driven by the price and weight factors. The guns look ugly due to brand DNA and production optimization.

I get and agree that they don’t make good looking products.
Not comparing Glock to Keltec at all, as the Glock’s track record is far superior, but Glocks are ugly as well.
I’ve never walked into a gun store and thought “wow look at that sexy new Glock” lol

Their polymer frame P15 is definitely ugly looking.

But the aluminum frame one looks pretty good with the wood handles!
