It looks like CZ has discontinued the 97B. It seems like they have a knack for dropping models as soon as I start considering them. Happened with the RAMI last year.
I believe it. I picked up the 75D PCR last year and it is a hoot to shoot. Was starting to think ahead to my next .45 acp purchase. Sig P220 Legion DA/SA is now at the top of that list.
Glad I got one when I did. Shoots great, uses all of my CZ 9mm muscle memory. It's a nice big happy brick of a .45, what's not to like. I can see, though, why the tacticool kids might pass it by. It's a little retro but not in that retro sweet spot, I guess.
It is definitely NOT a CA but SAR, the Turkish manufacturer has a "clone" that is supposed to be close to the feel of a 97. I think it is the K2? https://sarusa.com/product/k2/
The 97 is a terrific pistol. This 97BD has a Cajun Gun Works "E" conversion, 1911 bushing, LPA sight and a S/S guide rod. I got it in a trade with a forum member, and intended to sell it. I made the mistake of shooting it, and now it's one of my favorites. It makes me look like I know what I'm doing when I shoot it. If it's gone from the CZ line-up, it's a shame. Is the BD also out?
