    Hey guys,

I'm looking for an IP or local shop that carries Holosun products. Specifically the 510C Elite (HE510C-GR).

I know Atlantic has them on it's drop shipping website, but I would really like to put my hands on one first to see if my astigmatism is going to make it unusable

Hopefully someone knows of a spot I can check it out!

    Thanks!

I too have astigmatism and no matter the manufacturer, all of the red dot type sites were blurry. I now have prescription shooting glasses and clear as a bell.

I want to say Free State in White Marsh

But I would definitely call them first before driving all the way down there

Any chance you mean FreeState Gun Range in Middle River? If so I'm familiar and have actually been there a few times, I'll definitely call and ask!

I was just diagnosed with it during my last visit to update my prescription, so I'm still learning about it and the effects. Good to know that's an option, what type of glasses did you get?

I've only had EOTech HWS in the past, I guess that's why I never really noticed =/

Yup. I know they keep a selection of red dots out on the sales floor

No idea if they have the model you are looking for but they can certainly check before you go in

Always call Duffy's too because they rule. I have no idea if they carry reflex sights at all. But they are closer to you

But if I am not mistaken....if your astigmatism is a problem for a reflex sight it is a problem for all reflex sights. I don't think there is a way to make one that compensates for the astigmatism

Maybe a holographic sight would work differently because of the way it projects the red dot? I am guess guessing. I have never used one. And they are way more expensive.

If anyone wants to disagree with me on those last 2 paragraphs, have at it. My knowledge is limited on this. I welcome someone who knows what they are talking about

I've had astigmatism all my life. All but one of my handguns has a red dot on it. If I keep the intensity down as low as I can and still see the dot all is well. It's something you get used to. Far better than not being able to focus on or even see the front sight....

By the way I recently mounted a Holosun 507c Ver 2 on one gun and I really really like this one. I think it far superior to the Burris FF III or Vortex products for my money. I also really like the Holosun 403B for those guns with a PIC rail on them. Not so pretty maybe but very functional. bob

I have astigmatism and, believe it or not, the Truglo 8 MOA reflex sight is the one that works the best. It actually looks round and I don't get spikes from it. Aimpoint, Sig, Burris etc. all spike and I have to guess where the real dot is.

These are only about $50 and stand up to my .44 magnum rifle and 9mm pistol with no problem.

They do, I think I've made it this long without noticing the astigmatism because I ran a EOTech EXPS3-2.

I've noticed that with the few RDS I have tried, when used at lower powers them seem usable, but it seems to differ from manufacturer to manufacturer.

I'll have to check them out, thanks! Though I worry about the quality of a $50 optic =X

I have a pair of Adidas sport frames with a poly lens. They are bifocal, with the top half for red dots and bottom half so I can still see the front sight when I use irons.

Damn I'm gonna grab one off Amazon then, priced like that it's not exactly a big investment anyway. Thanks!

Thanks! I'll look into those as well.

All the help is greatly appreciated!
