Yeah I am not looing forward to sharpening mine. That curved blade is going to make things difficult.

An oval-shaped diamond rod should make it relatively easy.

    https://emersonknives.com/shop/accessories/the-ultimate-edge-5w/

Emerson also has a tutorial that shows how they would sharpen the recurve edge on their Commander series. The same technique should apply to sharpening a khukri, with the exception that you'll have to do it on both sides of the blade. (Emerson blades have a chisel-grind)

I use a similar style to sharpen my hawkbill knives, and it works great. (Granted, none of them have blades as long as these khukris do)

Just got the email that my blades are “off to cargo”. I never got any progress photos, but they did snap a pic before wrapping. I’ll take some better pics when they arrive.

I had them make me left and right hand sheaths for my “BBQ knife”. Just in case I decide to wear my pistol and still want the blade as well ;)

Nice looking!!! I still want a Xiphos from them to go with my kukri but their dude I email states they do not do it anymore and if they did it would not be the one in their older pics. I will ping them again.

Blades delivered today. Tried some direct/indirect sunlight pics to no avail.

It took a simple basement overhead light pic to show the contrast between the sharpened edges and the raw finish. The micarta handle SO much better looking in person!

Based on their Facebook their business has really grown

That and the pandemic backed them up because they stopped working for some periods to make sure the workers were safe. They had a backlog for a while.

Honestly? The Scourge (big knife) will be more show than go :D

This was a blade my father was really interested in ordering, but never got around to it before he passed late last year. I figured I’d order it and most of its time will be spent sitting on my liquor cabinet shelves, leaning against dad’s cremation urn. I’ll use it in the winter to split small pieces of wood brought into the house into kindling. That way, the less sightly hatchet can go back on the deck.

Now - the two smaller knives will get used a LOT! The polished blade is going to go in my deer processing kit. The small acid washed blade has already been helping me perform tasks around the house.
