Armored Republic AR500 Armor

Armored Republic's anti-fragmentation/spalling coating seems to prevent fragmentation and spalling on their steel plates well enough for them to make a demo video about it. Seems like perfect home defense armor. And the 20-year shelf life means the plates will likely outlive this Baby Boomer.

Sometimes you’ve gotta just wear the minimum in protection. No good if you die from heat stroke. This is what I am wearing these days.

Just this.

Figure I’ll distract the bad guys if nothing else (well and protect the most important bits).
