    Small hijack.
I have always wondered why Magpul still produces Gen2 PMAGS, when Gen3 have been made for many years now?
Is there something I am missing where the Gen2's are better for some situations/firearms?

Gen3's definitely fit better in my mag pouches over Gen2's and their wider floor plates.

I was told that since gen 2 are slightly cheaper and that there still is market for them. Especially gun manufacturers that ship one mag with their guns. Because the couple dollar difference, times 100 to 1000s guns shipped by manufacturers makes a big difference.

I just bought them bc there was a 5 mag limit to purchase on a website. So bought 5 gen 3s and then 5 gen 2s. Others may know more.
