    And let’s not forget...Delaware has TAX FREE shopping so that saves you a bunch thru the year!

    and gas is .10-.20 cents/gal cheaper.

    tag/reg fees are cheaper as well

    property taxes are less

    When we moved here, our Realtor advised us to look at larger school districts. The rationale is that larger districts have a larger tax base and don't need to hit tax payers as hard when they need money. It's easier for 50,000 people to fund a $1M project than 5,000 people. We're in Cumberland County, and we pay around $4K a year on a $450,000 house. FWIW, our house in MD or NOVA would be well north of $1M.
    Coming from Texas, I agree that the tax situation is crazy here.
