I picked one of these up since I had picked up a real live M17. And yes, I am planning on getting the SIG Airsoft M17 at some point.

Here is the box as it comes:

    Nicely packaged.

Now here is it next to the real M17.

I forget which one is which. :D

    Just the pellet pistol itself.

In the hand, it does feel like the real thing. Weight and balance are very close.

Only thing that is not similar is the trigger. The trigger on the real M17 is very nice. The trigger on the pellet gun has a long and sloppy pull.

The slide to move to the rear when it is fired. Not as far as the real thing, but enough to give a nice, more realistic feel to shooting it.

Overall, a nice way to get some trigger time when you can't get to the range. Of course, following all local laws. :)

The magazine is the same length as the 21 rounder for the real pistol.

It carries the CO2 cartridge and a pellet magazine that has a belt of 20 pellets.

The lever on the side of the magazine by the CO2 cartridge is to pierce the cartridge and lock it in place. I must say, the seals are very good. I have had the same cartridge in the gun for over 6 months and it still has pressure to shoot. This is unlike most other pellet pistols I have had.

You can buy extra full magazines.

Here is the pellet magazine. It has a belt inside to feed the pellets. These are available separately. And it would be a good idea to pick up some extras, as they do take time to load.

and the last picture is the pellet magazine with some pellets.

One BIG caveat, if you buy one of these, the SIG P320 pellet magazines are NOT the same and will not work in the M17 pellet pistol. Guess how I learned that. :D

If you do get a P320 pellet gun, and want some extra pellet mags, get in touch.

How much one of these set ya back?

Had an armory of pellet guns as a child. Haven't bought one in over 20 years at this point. Wouldn't mind grabbing some for the kid to use.

They are $120 at pyramidair.com, $150 for the airsoft version. I have an M&P BB gun that I practice with out front. At seven yards it is surprisingly accurate even though it has a smoothbore barrel. It only cost $49 but does not have any of the bells and whistles of the pellet models.

I have not had a chance to shoot for accuracy, but I will report when I do.

I have one of these being delivered Monday by Amazon. Getting it was an impulse buy when a package of 15 CO2 cartridges I ordered didn’t fit my German whipped cream maker. My wife said it’s too bad I don’t have a CO2 pistol in my collection. My quick research made the M17 a no brainer to fill the void.

 Man did you pull off a fast one on the missus. You can even blame her since she started the whole subject.

HMMMMM, why would you buy CO2 cartridges for a whipped cream maker????????

    They use nitrous cartridges. :D

NOW you tell me! I discovered that after I got the cartridges and read the fine print in the German instructions. Fortunately there was one cartridge in the box with the “Sahne Blitz”.

I finally got to shoot the M17 pellet pistol using Sig match pellets and Sig CO2 cartridges. At 7 yards the sights were dead on and, despite my aging eyes and less than steady hands, produced a tight group. I only fired 20 rounds, so I don’t know how many rounds I can shoot before a significant drop off in velocity.
