    Grab a stone...

I agree and defend the protestor(s) civil rights, ALL OF THEM, and expressing them in any manner that is legal. But I do not believe threats, actual or symbolic, assuage anyone's beliefs and only reinforces negative stereotypes. Would his protest been considered any different, even, by pro-2d Amendment advocates, if he protested without the firearm? Why add fuel to the fire? (No pun intended.)

In this situation, regarding PEACEFULLY protesting with a firearm - just because you can and it is within the law - should you? How about carrying an empty gasoline can and your poster says "YOU'RE GOING TO BURN IN HELL!," at a home that experienced an arson fire? Or protesting in front of a home occupied by a black-american, muslim, jew, etc., with a HANGMAN's rope.

Let me mention a protest that REALLY made me angry...

Remember this protest? "The Westboro church, led by pastor Fred Phelps, believes God is punishing the United States for 'the sin of homosexuality' through events including soldiers' deaths. Members have traveled the country to protest at military funerals and other events, evoking outrage by shouting at grieving families and displaying such signs as 'Thank God for dead soldiers,' 'God blew up the troops' and 'AIDS cures fags'."

How did that make you feel? Did it change your mind about the military or homosexuality?

Levine's the prick that lied to me, and cc'd all his delegate buddies, by saying 'there is no longer a suppressor ban in the bill' back before the senate heard it. f that guy. i sent the links to the two videos of him (red hot magazine; no law-abiding citizens will be affected) to all the senators before they reviewed hb961 saying they shouldn't support a bill in which the sponsor has absolutely no idea of the subject matter.

I agree. This guy is unhinged, having an armed protester outside his house won't help him see the light, it will further harden his heart against the "enemy". Now he's going to fight to change the laws that make it legal to protest while armed.

Maybe its just me, but if there was a unknown person standing on the sidewalk near my house while open carrying a weapon and seemed to be locked in on my home only...he would have my FULL ATTENTION the entire time.

Of course Levin is stretching the truth as much as he can for his cause and trying to blow this up into something that it isn't/wasn't, no surprise there.

I have no problem with the protest, F the legislators for thinking they can reach their arm into every home in the State of VA and not expect someone to stand outside theirs once in a while. He did it legally.

The FB video, which I have not seen, seems illegal if he was indeed saying what the article says, and I am guessing he'll be arrested for that. Who knows.

I would love to hear the audio of the call Levine made to the police. I 100% guarantee he identified himself as an important politician, etc. Blah blah blah.

I mentioned Levine to my delegate, who voted FOR every anti-2d Amendment bill and AGAINST pro-2A bills. Also expressed my anger at Joe Morrisey being on the JUSTICE Committee - besides being a pervert and disbarred lawyer, he LOST two firearms and carried an AK47-style firearm, with magazine and thumb on trigger, into the Assembly.

"Hello, Police? Ermagerd! There's a super scary man outside with an assault bazooka! He is 75 yards away RIGHT NEXT TO MY WINDOW! I can see he has a 700 round bullet clip! Please come super quickly 'cause I'm totally your boss and super important! OMG! It's super scary! Hurry!.....and bring a mop...there has been an "incident" on my floor."

“I just don't think decisions in America should be made at the point of a gun,” Levine said. “I think that happens in Syria and Somalia and Russia, North Korea, but I think in our country, politicians shouldn't make up their mind because they're afraid of being shot.”

Really?? I think the Founder's opinion would differ.

This thread. Yet another example of discord among the ranks of 2A supporters.

Know what’s even better? It’s on the Internet.

Doesn’t get better than this. Does it?

Mild sarcasm? So, you are of the opinion every pro-2d Amendment supporter should be in 100% agreement? It's not discord but a difference of opinion. Isn't that what makes America great?

That's O.K., I respect your opinion without condemnation. Discord probably happens on the Democratic Socialists websites also.

Yup, and most of us here would call the police.
Freedom is a funny thing but I wouldn't trade it, or try to legislate it away, for anything.

    Instigator.....me?? Never.

Yes. Hell yes. I’m being sarcastic. I’m just new to sarcasm so I’m not so good at it yet.

    Thanks for noticing.

OTOH, arguing online feels genuinely stupid when amongst ourselves and in public. (To what end?) Even moreso given the gross disparity of how to make our point. IDGI

Side A...let’s water the Liberty Tree with their bodily fluids. Side B...let’s give them a stern look, a harshly worded Tweet and a piece of our mind.

I don’t know the answer but I’m convinced we can do a better job getting our collective shit in one sock.
