I'll soon find myself driving through WV via I-79 and I-64. Along the way, I'd like to pick up some good beer to bring back to our fair state. Any suggestions on beers/breweries of note, or beer stores near the highway that might carry good, local brews? I wish that I would have time to stay and drink a few at a brewpub, but this will most likely be a hit and run operation.

Many thanks for your suggestions.

Come on, folks. My bottle cap map isn't going to fill itself! I need a WV bottle cap to add to the map, which would take me to 37.

    (not my actual map)

79 to 64 is a long run. Are you going through Lewisburg on 64?

if you're committed to going that way....theres several in Morgantown, though I've only been to Mountain State.

If you wanted to go down 81 to 64 you could hit a ton of places in the Shenandoah Valley then go 64 to Lewisburg where Greenbrier Valley brewing is.

Tell me about it. We'll be on our way to southern IN. But, anything for family.

So yes, we'll be passing through Lewisburg at least once.

Lewisburg is on 64 heading back to Lexington VA, so lots of good choices on that route.

    That's my stomping grounds.
