I’ve encouraged her as much on twitter. We should all do the same. Unless Smith caves. He appears very firm in his responses.

I hope like heck he doesn’t. Let’s please not encourage that to happen.

Maybe we don't publicly state the manner in which we hope this dies?

Sen Smith has been reasonable to work with. We will not agree politically, but he has been polite and doesn't want to pass something that cannot be done. The Commie Mommies have been packing voting sessions as well.

I'm glad they're using a picture of a shotgun in the ad.

As we all know, it's not closing a loophole. It's taking away a right. It's interfering in the private transactions of citizens.

I'm emailing the Senator after I check what's going on with the bill forcing storage of unloaded firearms.

I wonder if Atterbury has ever fired a rifle, or spent a little time target shooting at a range.

Sometimes, folks come around to accepting the very demon they think is threatening them, by making an acquaintance with it.

She’s edjumacated, peasant. A day at the range is not necessary.

Wouldn’t Atterbury’s temporary transfer run afoul of transitioning obstacles and fences as it is taught by the state of Maryland and the National hunter safety program? Hunter A transfers their firearm to hunter B. Hunter A crosses the obstacle (stream, creek, fence, log, etc). Hunter B transfers both firearms to hunter A. Hunter B crosses obstacle. Hunter A transfers a firearm back to hunter B. Her change of law would potentially cause more deaths due to unsafe conditions in the field, which would need to be taught to new hunters and updated in the state curriculum.

Sen. Ron Young made a post today on the book of faces supporting SB0208 with outright lies and distorted facts:

    https://www.facebook.com/SenRonYoung/

His office numbers, if you feel like giving them a call:

    (410) 841-3575
    (301) 858-3575
    1-800-492-7122, ext. 3575

The lady I spoke with earlier was alone in answering the calls and was getting hammered. I wished her the best of luck and advised her to pull the FB post.

You can also report the post as False News:

    1) Click the three dots next to his post
    2) Choose Find Support or Report Post
    3) Select the reason False News, hit Next

I that reporting the post will only notify whoever manages the page but it's still worth doing. It only take a few seconds.

Seems he's getting blasted on Facebook.

I have on more than one occasion had to go to the school from work and gave a long gun from my car to a co worker or stopped by and dropped off at a friends house temporarily. Also when moving to a new home, I left firearms at parents and friends. I have loaned firearms to other non prohibited hunters as well.

LMAO! I love the reference. I had that same thought earlier in the session. "Never Interfere With an Enemy While He’s in the Process of Destroying Himself". Can I have some of that popcorn, Stoveman?

Amended text will not be displayed on the MGALEG website until AFTER an amended bill is reported to the appropriate house on the committee report.

The point is NONE of this will reduce violence nor gun violence. Since FSA 2013 murders and gun violence "INCREASED"

The Judicial Proceedings report (#14) with SB208 shown as Favorable with Amendments is on today's Senate 8pm agenda. I'll post up links to the amendment text when they are added (probably tomorrow or Wed) and the committee vote tally as well when that becomes available.
