    I saw that they are having a steal challenge later this month and was wondering how the scene was there. I'm new to competition shooting and don't want to show up to a place that's not newbie friendly. Thank you for any advice.

    I'm not a member of Delmarva but if there's a contact e-mail address somewhere, just send a message to a match director and see if it's OK to stop by and check it out. A lot of clubs require guests be accompanied by a member if they want to shoot but, if all you want to do is spectate a steel match at first, I'd contact one of Delmarva's officers and ask permission.

    Most of the good steel matches are in PA or WV around here. In PA you have Pricetown, Lewistown, Palmyra, and York. In MD you have Delmarva, Sanners Lake and the AGC in Marriotsville. In WV you have Peacemaker Nat. Training Ctr. and Shadow Hawk Defense. These places usually have a mix of both Steel Challenge and outlaw steel matches plus things like USPSA, IDPA, and some even have 2-gun or 3-gun matches. As a non-member I have shot matches at Delmarva but with the COVID19 Some clubs are limiting guests. Delmarva does 3-4 official SC stages in their matches plus a couple of non-standard ones that are similar to Rimfire Challenge. Its a sanctioned match so your scores in the official stages will go to the SCSA. Lewistown, Pricetown, PNTC, and Shadowhawk also do sanctioned SC matches. Big match in this part of the country is at Ontealanee in PA, which puts on the Tier 2 East Coast Steel Challenge in September plus a couple of matches that lead up to it which have all 8 SC stages. Quantico also does a monthly sanctioned SC match.
