Can't believe I found the receipt, but $460 both plates out the door. 4400's and got free shipping at that time. For $230 a plate, it was good for me. Looks like a few spots still sell around $260 a plate.

I didn’t take it that way. Nothing to be sorry for. I’d be shooting best price too. I bought mine Feb of ‘21. A lot can happen in the market since then.
I ended up going for the AR500 Testudo Gen 2 Plate Carrier. I found them to be the right balance between cost and functionality.
I got them for $170 - 25% on BF. They arrived today (as did the plates) and I am sending my daughter back to school with one. Hopefully they don't go for a walk.

It appears to be a no-********, concealable carrier, stitching looks good It just depends on what you want to do with it. If it's just for the range I'd say go for it but if you're going to have it on for hours at a time, I'd look elsewhere for plates. They are 6.5 pounds PER plate. You're absolutely going to feel that but if you're wearing it for shorter periods then I'd say it's good to go as it's priced pretty decent for what you get.Thread revival...

That's a great price. My concern here is that the wording says "NIJ Tested". Says nothing about approved.
