Our house in Jersey was 800 sq ft on a 40X125 lot the taxes on it today are 7300 per year that is insane

I know this is not a MD 2A issue, but I fear it may soon be.
New Jersey is testing the waters for taxing and feeing personal firearms and ammunition to the point where most residents will choose not to afford to own a gun. Make no mistake; NJ is simply a test case and the practice will spread when it goes unchallenged (which it will). If someone's first firearm purchase happens to be a pistol, they are looking at $205 in fees: application for FPID + fingerprinting + application for pistol permit + State NICS. Then they will pay nearly 10% in sales and excise taxes. There is also separate discussion about raising the State NICS fees from $15+tax to $35+tax.  BEWARE!
