    Yeah, really nice facility. Build from scratch, not a converted building. I stopped by before they were fully open. Costs seem a bit higher than I am used to for the range. For my wife and I = close to $600/year membership.

    Probably headed there later this week to let loose a few. Will report back.

    I was in Tuckahoe Sportsmen on 404 today, nice little shop and the lady behind the counter seemed friendly enough. I did find some slugs that i couldn’t find up my way and their prices didn’t seem bad on some of the guns I looked at.

    So, a little farther south, but still as "Eastern Shore" as you can get, in Virginia, here are a couple more;

    1. The Peace Token on 13S just before the junction of 13 & 175 (going towards Chincoteague). I am posting this with severe qualifications, and partially as a warning to innocents that don't know better; the owner, I have come to believe, his full first name is "that @$$hole Robert", insofar as it's really a cigarette outlet for people from northern states that voted for socialists who tax them into submission to buy large quantities of cigarettes to take home with them, while masquerading as a partial gun shop, where A.H. Robert is the only person in the store allowed to show a gun to a customer, although he is:
    a. rarely in the store
    b. when in the store, but not "in the mood to sell a gun", he will tell you and that is that.
    c. 1/3 of the guns in the rack are not actually for sale, they are a display of his collection.
    Anyhow, enjoy your visit to The Peace Token.

    2. Circle Arms on Chincoteague (Google him up for his Facebook page and use the directions!) Brandon is one of the nicest guys in the industry and will bend over backwards to help a customer. He has nice stuff at decent prices, although his hours are a bit unconventional, that's because he has a second job. Well worth the trip, seriously.

    3. Ace Hardware on Chincoteague. No. Just "no".

    4. Continuing south to the sleepy little Mayberryesque town of Parksley, slap in the middle of town, you'll find "Jaxons Hardware" which sports a gun counter and a 2 day a week gunsmith (Mon & Fri, 8-12:30). The downside, I also work there 2 days a week, so you may have to deal with me if you are unlucky. The upside, everybody else is pretty cool and it is straight up out of a dang time capsule, as is the Jaxons 5 & Dime across the busy (LOL) street, good, old time stuff, even the old 5 & Dime store "smell", mixed in with new stuff and helpful sales gals. "Sales gals"... that has to be a seriously misogynistic term I suppose. So be it. Anyhow, we are managing to get ammo here and there, and even have a rack of ARs and short barreled pumps and autos. We're light on pistols but that's always changing.

    Maybe I'll detail farther south later, but honestly, even maps are not completed much below Onley, only quoting "Here there be Dragons" and not much detail...

    Little shop in Cheriton too, Northampton Firearms I think. Nice little shop, but offers a full selection of "cleaning patch trap" adapters. Almost expect them to be raided any day.

    I seen another little shop (new) on 13 near Farmington? Greenwood maybe, heading south, cant remember just yesterday.
    First shot- Shots fired, fire shots or something like that.
    Looked like a nice place to swing into just to check out for whatever may be in in there.

    Never thought I’d see that name here. This is where I get my evil 30rd AR mags and cleaning stuff from.

    So two things here;
    first, if you are referring to AR15 30 rd mags, the term "evil" ("e-vile" is an acceptable alternative pronunciation) is actually redundant, of course they're e-vile...:sad20:

    second, at Jaxons, we actually soak each magazine in a vat of extra e-vile solution for at least 3 hours before putting them out for sale...
    (sometimes, maybe...:innocent0)

    ;)

    Thats not it but I know where your talking about, this place is new and its up on the dual hwy.
    Small building , new sign that's painted sort of in a western theme. (white with black letters)
    The shop is situated between one or two larger buildings that are right up to the road front.

    It’s called shots fired. It’s just south of the fire house on the southbound side. Stopped by last week, they had some ammo that was not too overpriced. I did not see any guns in there, there were a few people and the guy who seemed to be the proprietor was talking to a gentleman about restoring a gun. Maybe they are planning to bring more stuff in.

    Huhhhh. I like old school time capsule gun stores , and eccentric old school proprietors . I'll have to wander over that way sometime .
