Considering purchasing a Century Arms VZ2008 and came across an AR-15 mag we'll adapter (http://www.zahal.org/products/vz-58-mag-well-adapter). I was hoping someone here had some insight as to how this works. I know CzechArms sells a version in 5.56 (without an adapter) but I can't find anything on how the rifling/barrel works using an adapter on a standard VZ. Does the 7.62x39 barrel need to be replaced? Will the receiver feed as is? Where to find a 5.56 barrel if they even exist (my search came up empty).
It might seem silly with the prices of 7.62 being relatively low and having a lot more bang for your buck but for me it's a matter of keeping it simple since I already own AR-15 mags and ammunition.
