Dave.. Very nice. I just got mine as well. I am more than pleased, although I would have liked a Tula, as that is what was marked on the box, but I am happy. No pitting on mine that is noticeable, the floor plate is stamped matching, and the bayonet does not match. However, the gun itself is a 1942, four digit serial number, which I thought was kind of cool.
It really was a great deal on these. How's the bore on yours? I really had to clean out the inside of the receiver for the bolt to work properly, but it's very smooth now. I took mine out of the stock and it's all clean underneath. I didn't find any cosmoline, just heavy oil and old shellac dust. I got rid of both the shooters I got from Classic but I'm going to keep this one.
