CVA Accura / Blackhorn 209

Hey Guys,

Iím thinking of getting a CVA Accura for ML/Firearm Season. Any issues with these? Also, you can get a breach plug to shoot Blackhorn 209. Is the BH209 really non corrosive? I had someone tell me they didnít have to clean their gun all season while shooting it.

Thanks!

K

I have an Optima V2 and use BH 209 in it. Used the standard breech plug for a while with no issues but got one designed for BH209 just for peace of mind. I clean after 3-5 shots at the range. Once I'm happy with the zero, I clean again, fire just a primer for light fouling, then load for hunting season.

Great gun...with Shockwave saboted bullets and 100 grains of BH209 I get 3 shot groups around 1.5" at 100 yds. Hornady XTP bullets also work great.

If you have some steel sitting around, throw some Blackhorn on it and light it.

Let it sit and see if it rusts up.

Personally, I would never trust any BP equivalent to be 100% non-corrosive.
