After a long time away from shooting I would like to start reloading.
Anyone like to share their favorite recipes for 9 mm Berrys plated.
This is what I have on hand.

    Once fired 9 mm brass
    CCI small pistol primers
    115 gr RN Berrys plated
    124 gr FP Berrys plated
    Bullseye and Unique

    Thanks, Mike

I use 4.3 grains of WW231 or 5.2 grains of Powerpistol with 124gn bullets. Both work great in pistols, the Powerpistol load works better in my PCC.

I like W231 also for 9mm. Bullseye is too dirty, for me. I know that I can clean it up by using a heavier powder charge, but my wife likes lighter loads for practice.

5gr Unique, max OAL that will fit your gun.
4.2gr Bullseye, max OAL that will fit your gun.

Work up from there. Highly unlikely you're gonna blow up your gun with either powder.

    With Berry's Bullets 115-gn plated, I use 4.7 or 4.8 grains of HP-38/WW231.

I chronographed 4.8 grains a few month ago. Averaged 1115 fps from a Glock 19 (4" barrel); 1076 fps from a Sig P229 (3.9" barrel); and 1034 fps from a Sig P290 RS (2.9" barrel). Functioned well in all three.

I've been using Hodgdon CFE pistol for 9mm, .40 Auto and 10mm lately. Good results nice clean powder. I have used good old WW231 and Hodgdon HP-38 though.

Yeah, I’ve just started trying CFE pistol. I like it a lot. Can push some really high velocities at safe pressures. And even loaded lighter seems to burn fairly clean. But I’ve got a couple of pounds of bullseye, so that’s mostly what I’ll be loading till I run through it.

115gr RMR FMJ (I know you asked about plated) on top of 4.0gr bullseye ran time 1060fps in my Glock 17, 1140fps on top of 4.3gr.

My P1 ran 20fps faster for both.

115gr lead (should behave about the same as plated) was 20fps faster again for both guns, same powder charges.

The 4.3gr was a bit hotter than I’d want to push something for my P1. I’ll play with 4.1 and 4.2gr loads. 4.3 was most consistent and noticeably cleaner than 4.0gr.

I did have to load it a little short. My Glock Sweson barrel has a short throat.

    Berrys 124gn/CFE Pistol 4.9gn/1.150 OAL
    Berrys 147gn/CFE Pistol 3.7gn/1.150 OAL

These are just the starting loads I used. They all run fine in my FNS-9, KP-9, and MP-5.

    Interesting responses.

OP stated he had Bullseye and Unique.

Only ONE response gave him information on Bullseye and Unique.

    5.5gr unique
I started with 800X because it was the only thing on the shelves during the last shortage. Never got a load that would properly cycle 9mm, despite it being listed in the loading manual, Even when it was spewing unburnt powder out the muzzle.
