I love my M3000. I have a bunch of MOA mods but I didn't do all the three-gun stuff since there's nowhere to do that down here. Do you?
Once AGC started doing it, yeah, I started shooting 3gun. I try to make it a point not to dump money into guns without using them hard first to understand what problems they have... the M3K is a great gun out of the box, but like every other shotgun, the port needed much more aggressive opening for quads. I figured if I was going to send it out for that, I may as well go all the way. The slug rear sight is kind of a nice to have since MEGARMS keeps friggin' putting slugs into the stages. :)

I may add the lightning lifter to my regular gun though.
I like it on my competition gun, but I would have mixed feelings about it on a defensive shotgun. If you don't load aggressively, you can wind up with the LL dropping a shell on the lifter but not quite getting the shell all the way into battery - I think the mag tube spring has to be compressed a bit to build up a little velocity (these LLs really require a strong mag spring). The likelihood that you're gonna be loading twins/quads in a defensive situation is nil, and a port load is thus not going to be as big a speed hit.

You gonna do any 3gun with that thing? I think there's a lot of interest in whether the 940 JM is substantially better than the 930 JM in terms of reliability. The 930 JM was nicknamed the "Jam Master" in most of the forums I've hung out in.

In the late '70s, my family house burned down and we lost my parent's small gun collection. At the time, the guns were common place, but as time goes by, they become more and more difficult to find in a condition that would equal the ones lost.

I was able to pick up a representation of my mother's 870 Wingmaster TB a few years ago. A 1970 gun to replace her 1968 one for a sweet price of $350. But my father's 12 gauge Savage Fox was another story. From what I remember as a 15 year old, he had a pristine double barrel and as far as I can figure, it was made in the late '50s to early '60s. I believe it had the engraved flying ducks on the bottom of the receiver. Definitely had a single trigger, nicely checkered beavertail forearm, and checkered pistol grip. Savage Fox's were working guns and many show it. Trying to find one in the condition that I desire for the right price (yes, I'm cheap) had become a real search.

In July, I found this one at auction. Not exactly like my father's, but will fill the slot until I can find the one that will. It's a model B-SE date coded for 1968 with single non-selective trigger and in 20 gauge. Has the smiling fox on the bottom of the receiver. One of the prettiest Fox's that I have come across at auction. Think I did good.

Not included are the 10rd Mags. Fun gun and definitely part of my home defense.

Legally not a shotgun, but I finally sexed up my homemade shockwave with a brace. Got a good deal on a used SBM4 brace with Tac Star adapter.

Purchased this Moss 500 from the MDS classifieds, pretty good deal. I let it sit 24 hours before buying. Can’t believe no one else grabbed it.

I thought about grabbing it. Snooze you lose I guess. I just couldn't justify it right now. Any plans for it? I was going to add a shorter barrel and a heat shield for starters.

I ordered an 18.5” barrel from Mossberg for it last week. Other than that, I guess I’ll just add it to my pile.

I already have a couple 500s, one of which has the factory heat shield and synthetic furniture. Might put that one to riot gun configuration with a pistol grip.

Thanks for doing that. I was getting itchy.

I contacted the seller when he listed it and told him he priced it too cheap, but he didn’t seem to care. I think he just wanted a quick sale. I waited a day to give others a shot, but then clicked the CTB.

870 group photo, all Wingmasters or Popo Magnums. Second from the right is the very first gun I ever bought. Was in high school, purchased from a neighbor for $200.
