    I don’t think there is, but wanted to know if there is a maximum barrel or overall length for a pistol in MD? Kind of MD specific question, any other state might as well throw a stock on it.

    At 16" it becomes a rifle, if I'm not mistaken. There may be at that point a necessity for its length to exceed 29" but again it's unclear to me.

    Confusing question; I may need more coffee. It's early yet, for me.

    A rifle must be designed to fire from the shoulder.

    Once it's past 26", it's just a firearm. I don't know that there's a maximum length.

    Wasn't there a thread on a "firearm" AR (or was it AK?) somewhere (maybe not on MDS) it may have required an NFA stamp
