What cartridges are using for deer?
I was looking at a 357 lever for deer, but the reading I did claimed it was a marginal round for that purpose?

Why now remove ALL doubt and go with a 44 as long as it's 100 yards +- 25?

Congrats. I’ve been looking at different levers lately, I haven’t seen Henry in person yet I have heard some people complain that they’re heavy and they have to load them in a tubular fashion like a 22. I’m not sure why loading that way is a negative. Does the Weight and operation seem good?

I heard that as well. I used PMC bronze 158 grn JSP, and thought it performed very well. The two shots I had were at 25yd and 50yds as measured by my range finder, which is well within the ideal range for 357. There is no question in my mind the 158grn and up 357 is very good inside 100 yds. Here is a video of the blood trail for the 50 yd one, the other one was pretty similar.

Henry now makes some rifles with a side loading gate. I don't own one but I know they make them.

I was all ready to put a deposit on a Wild West Guns co-pilot but they increased their price from $3500 to $5000. Then their website went off line, presume its the shortage of Marlins to convert.
