    Looks fine. Rough machining is a character trait of Winchesters. Lube, shoot, and enjoy.

    That's what I said to my wife last night and she rolled her eyes and went to sleep.

    The definition of a field grade is above average wear; that said, that rifle is in pretty good shape for a field grade.

    Op rods tend to jump because of the tab on the op rod wearing more than the track itself wearing out. I've yet to see one with an unsatisfactory op rod channel.

    I'm not saying it doesn't happen, but I don't think that'll be your problem.
