The word is out that the Yellow Perch run is getting close. Has anyone been out and caught any? I also hear the White Perch are mixed in with the Yellows. I think the cold weather coming in this week will push them back into some of the deeper water spots. I know fishermen don't like talking spots but most of us know the normal spots for the runs. Any of you dedicated anglers want to share some info???

No info but we are getting our gear ready and watching the weather.
Anglers just put up a new perch video this morning:

Perch are my favorite for frying. Gut em, scale em, light coat of flour/spices and deep fry whole in the turkey fryer. My boys and I dump them on the table and eat away. Taste just as good cold the next day.

I have been watching the YouTube videos that the guys from Anglers have been posting. They seem to be keeping on top of the conditions pretty good. Hopefully they are getting reports from the fishermen coming in for lures and bait. There are so many places and they don't all get hot at the same time.

That's the only fish I will eat with the skin on it, just gut and scale and into the frying pan with butter.

#1 son saw lots of people and zero yellow perch Friday at Beechwood.
This weather has got to start the ball moving here shortly.

I drove by Beachwood today on the way to Angler's. My quick drive by didn't see a ton of people there but it was just a quickie look. Angler's was pretty crowded with people getting perch stuff. I walked out with the new Shimano Vanford 2500. Very sweet reel and hard to find in that size.

    Nothing at waysons this morning.
Although, saw a lot of cars parked on side of rode last night coming home

Which is better to catch perch, incoming or outgoing tide?

Yeah wind was worse, and could see bottom out of it. I think it was more about getting the boat out and wetting a line.
Theirs no bass pro around here so people do things like that. They caught fish but stayed out of the Nanticoke.
At least it was sunny and better than working!

When I was younger, any day on the water beat anything. Now I can't take the cold and only go out when the water temp and air temp both hit 60.

Im right behind you. I can hardly walk some days from being nearly frozen from being out in it all the time.
They want to go trout fishing and I was just looking for new hip waders that could accommodate a kerosene heater.:)
