I DID get pulled out of gate waiting area @ Heathrow on a connecting flight. My wife was like WTF as I was asked to come behind their gate barrier and then walked downstairs with my carryon. It was searched (and I was again). The security officer questioning me had a head scarf on, she was obviously of middle eastern origin. Wasn’t trying to stereotype but I was thinking “well, this is pretty damned contradictory” to the expected.

Do you have an Irish surname?

I’ve been using PIA for years - amounts to about $3/mo and they don’t keep logs. I’ve been hearing good things about ExpressVPN though.

Had it for many years too, fast speeds. They have actually improved with their software past year. Can run selected apps outside the VPN easily with their setup.

Is there a site that explains all this clearly, simply, and thoroughly?

Then from afar he mouthed "Gun magazine". We wondered why in the hell did he have one of those. Lol we were like "this ain't gonna be good". Glad it was they type you read and not one you stuff into a P229.

You can't say the "g" word (or the "b" word) in most airports

This was in Heathrow in London. My coworker had guns and ammo magazine and they flipped out.

When I go (well used to go) on oversea cruises, I would bring a good amount of American Rifleman magazines with me that I never seem to have time to read. I'd read them on the boat, and then snip my mailing address out of them, and leave them laying around for others :)
