Not a deal by any stretch (I’ve seen this rifle from this seller priced at $660 with a normal price around $750) but if you need Santa to bring you an HBAR it’s probably not going to get better than this for the next month or so...

Sorry no, the 6721 is an HBAR, not the 6920. I posted that more for the price comparison.

Gotcha. I knew one of them was legal, I don't even try to keep them straight any more.

But, I have some friends in the market for rifles and don't want to steer them wrong.

Not available these days, but the transiently released Colt 6920 HBPW variant was/is MD permitted ...

It was a pretty limited inventory.

Thanks. But, I'll probably just turn them on to the Windhams. These friends are late to the game and want to get something quick and easy.

I may be a little partial to the Windhams cause they were local to me when I was stationed in Maine and Maine was probably my favorite duty station.

I kick myself for not getting one when they were $700 and less. In addition to their quality, as Blaster mentioned, I always liked their inclusion of a carry handle. I believe they also used to include a hardcase for the rifle.

I know!! I always thought they were a solid gun for the money.

There are so many times I look back at things like that and just shake my head.

Like when I was stationed in Dallas and the gun shows there had, literally, tables full of LE turn in Gen 2 Glock 19's for around $250. I could slam my head into a wall over that.

Windham has a discount purchase program for active and retired military and LE. Instructions are on their website to contact them for quote and purchase.

Correct about the case, Windham includes the “hard” case (flimsy, but it is a plastic case), web sling, and one magazine.

Most Windham’s I have seen have a 1:9 twist barrel, just FYI.

Perfectly good for the average shooter and especially useful if you want to shoot lighter varmint rounds, but if your diet consists of any 75 or 77gr pills then 1:9 may not be the ideal twist.

Hard case is decent, however not usable if you remove the handle and mount a scope, or a red dot optic. I have a pile of these nice, Plano-like black hard cases that came with a rifle inside, without the physical dimensions to accommodate the rifle fitted with any type of optic that is the primary configuration that almost everyone in the world uses these types of rifles in. My Kriss Vector rifle is the same way, even the Magpul BUIS flip-ups barely fit while collapsed down. These free cases at first impressed me as far as value and me not having to go buy one, but now it just pisses me off that I have these damn plastic boxes that I can’t do anything with. Not to mention, all these cases are about 12-16” too long, and about 4-6” too narrow. Not ideal for a MSR. How can the manufacturers that build and ship these rifles not figure this out? End of rant.
