It depends on how much brass and how much are you willing to spend. For a standalone unit, it is hard to beat the Dillon Super Swage 600. If one only has a handful of brass a hand reamer will work, just much harder and slower.

Primer pocket reamer seems to be most effective. I have a RCBS swager and it not the best. Lee APP swager works better but RCBS reamer works best for me.

I used a Lyman hand reamer for many years, and many hundreds of 5.56 and 7.62x51 cases. And had the blisters to prove it. :D

Doing a few hundred is not a big deal.

But, I agree with others, the Dillon Super Swage is the way to go.

I have a RCBS swaging die kit that mounts on a press. I've found that my Lyman single stage that cams over, is the easiest (best)
way to work with the RCBS. Other presses that don't cam over, don't have the mechanical advantage to pull the case back off the
swage. I recommend the reamer for anyone that doesn't have a single stage cam over press that can use the RCBS effectively.

Swage / ream either or.. Both have pro's and con's
Swage is fine if you have the same head stamp.
Ream remember your removing metal once its
gone its gone, there's so many takes on how to
Remove the crimp when it comes to reaming,
Drill bit, reamers from Hornady, Lyman, etc. To
    Countersink bits, 60, 82, 80, 100, 110, 120 degree
went the counter sink route for now, 24volt DC motor
Spindle with B16 chuck, belts, geared pulleys, etc.
Can use drill press, cheap cordless drill, motor with
    adapters...all kinds of DIY thinking..

Looking at the Lee press for swaging them.

I have a RCBS swaging kit also that mounts on a press similar to a die. It works great on my RCBS Rock Chucker II Press

I ended up with two of them for some reason. I gave one away, because it was horrible to use.

I preferred reaming over the RCBS press deal.

Dillon Super Swag is excellent, especially with the rubber band mod.

Reaming if I am only doing a few cases, and swaging if I am processing a bunch.

I got the rcbs swage die. Just finished 400 5.56 I feel like this method is most consistent on my rock chucker. Getting the casing out of the die is a pain without lube. It’s surprising that little nipple can hold the casing as much as it does.

Did you remember to put the ejector cup, or whatever you call it, over the press ram? It takes the case off the little nipple with very little effort.
