I am an honorably discharged service member. I do realize that in order to purchase a handgun I need this license. When applying for the license do I scan my DD214 along with doing the application on line because I do know that I don't have to take any classes for the license but don't know how to prove that I am a vet unless they ask for it separately.

Yes, scan your dd214 to be uploaded to prove your training exemption, then just have your livescan pcn# & credit card ready, & you'll be good to go. However if you're a retired service member, then you're exempt from needing an hql altogether.
