Bring back by LT Colonel John Watson. He was a West Point grad of 1942. Served in the Cavalry in WWII. During the Korean War he served in the 3rd Infantry Division. He was part of General Marshalls staff and was sent to China in 1946. The man had an interesting military career. I wonder if this Colt was his personal side arm since WWII.

Awesome! The Colt Commando has been a secret for a long time among US issued handguns from WWII...only recent have their values begun shooting up. The history to that Commando adds value beyond just the gun itself. Most don't have their histories tied to a particular person...just to an agency at best. Eisenhower was issued one...a number went to the OSS. I have several...two went to the Merchant Marine...one to a Chief of Police...one to Army CID at Ft. Myer...one to Raritan Arsenal and one to Military Intelligence at Camp Ritchie.

It is even better if an officer has fired a shot from his sidearm in anger! At the enemy of course. :D Maybe we have to go back to Civil War era.
