I finally finished building my dedicated .22 upper! I had a dedicated barrel from CMMG ordered, but from what I hear, the order is still months away, so I decided to go ahead and get a 5" .223 barrel to run with my drop in conversion. It's not ideal, but it will work in the mean time. I'm pretty happy with how this little gun turned out!

You certainly can! I'd recommend building it as a 10.5" .223 with an OAL of 29" and just having a dedicated super shorty upper .22 upper to swap to as often as you want. OAL doesn't apply to sbr's in .22 which is pretty nice for cool little setups like this. I've done a handful of form 1s and don't mind helping you out if you want to send one in!
