Guys, I just got back from attending the last Knob Creek Machine gun shoot. For those of you that don't know, its the largest Machine gun shoot in the world and this was the last one. 50 years of Machine gun shoots coming to an end! It was so packed, most people had to park outside the shoots and walk a mile to get there. The Woodstock of firearm shoots!

It was crazy, awesome and something I am really glad I did not miss! I saw a lot of people from Maryland there and when Southwest Cancelled my flight, they bailed me out with a last minute 10 hour trip home!

I have posted a bunch of videos. Here are some of the best, but more on You Tube!

I know the question was directed to Matt, but I’ll post these. Napalm from a Vietnam era flame thrower. I roasted two cars, a refrigerator and caught the woods on fire to the left of the firing line :party29:

You could not pay me to strap on 3 gallons of pressurized jellied gasoline and shoot a 50+year old flame thrower!

Somebody will have to come in and continue it as a range. There is no way any developer is going to put out the cash needed to do an EPA clean up on that ground. I remember when Uncle Suger decided to give the Ft Meade airfield to AA County. It became an EPA superfund site and the cleanup took 10 years and cost a fortune. They were required to dig down something like 2 feet to clean the ground of ordnance.

I tried to go. Sat in traffic for three hours and only moved from 2.5 miles away to 2 miles away from the gate. Heard that 25k people attended. I went to Shooter's Gauntlet for their shoot last year and it was zero hassle to get in and out of. (and no mud!) I'll probably go back to that and Big Sandy again. I'll try Knob creek one more time if they ever open it up again.

2nd video, walking the line. We were at about 1:30-1:35 mark, our guns in the foreground and one of my helpers and his girlfriend eating lunch..

So did you pay to shoot anything that we are unlikely to ever see at one of our shoots?

My Buddy was looking to buy a 1928 Thompson, so he did that (and bought the Tommy gun back home here too), an Aug and a MP5K. I am a bit cheaper... I thought the best deal and the gun I most wanted to shoot was the VZ61 Skorpion. 2 Mags for $40 was the best deal there. I was going to do the PKM as I have never shot one of them. I hear they are great. However they were late setting up and the line was to long.

You guys have to subscribe to my channel so you see the new videos!

That was what I wanted to do the most! I saw it was $150 back in the day. I would do that one for sure! Its a shame it was gone before I got a chance.

Two things. First the range is not closing. Just the MG shoot is ending. The range will stay in daily use. Second, with the price of lead, people will come in and collect it for free these days or even pay you these days.

Yeah it was nice seeing you guys! If you look at 2:09, the camo waterjacket gun use to be mine. I sold it to the current own (Jmann if you can figure it out and know him). A lot of cool guns but I would like to see more historical stuff out there. However I understand that if you want to shoot a bunch, you are looking to brownings and post samples.

Guys, I posted a bunch of videos, if you look at the channel. I just tried to post the ones I thought were most interesting!
