Since testimony and bill introduction is behind us, use this thread to update and monitor bill status. You can keep tabs on the gun bills by looking at this list http://mgaleg.maryland.gov/webmga/f...bjpage&tab=subject3&id=guns&stab=01&ys=2015RS

SB 261 is not surprising, as the SJPC has given Favoprable Reports to similar bills before.

It looks like HB713, the proposed ivory ban, also received an unfavorable report from the House Judiciary Committee. Another win for us, if somewhat indirect.

SB261 - Handgun Permit Background Investigation - Armored Car Company Employees has passed its second reading. The amendment only affects the sponsor, not the bill.

Everything needs to be passed out of each respective chamber by Monday, March 23 (cross over day), for the bills to be heard and acted on in the other chamber.

House gave a favorable report on the bill to remove NFA from handgun roster oversight.

Great news but still a ways to go to get it to the governor's desk.

Thanks for updating this. HB614 was given a favorable report in the house judiciary.

I think the jury's still out on what the effects of this bill will be on SBRs and the like in regards to the FSA2013 -- at least that's the way it seemed in weeks prior.
