    From the horses mouth... https://corporate.walmart.com/newsr...nse-to-the-tragedies-in-el-paso-and-southaven

    "Today, we’re sharing the decisions we’ve made that go further:

    After selling through our current inventory commitments, we will discontinue sales of short-barrel rifle ammunition such as the .223 caliber and 5.56 caliber that, while commonly used in some hunting rifles, can also be used in large capacity clips on military-style weapons;
    We will sell through and discontinue handgun ammunition; and
    We will discontinue handgun sales in Alaska, marking our complete exit from handguns."

    And why were you buying ammo at Wal-Mart? Never buy ammunition at a place whose address does not begin with "www."

    This one smarts. This will be trumpeted by all the news services and politicians as the wave of the future and make our fight that much more difficult to carry on. Ammo is such a small part of Walmart's sales they can easily ignore the loss, no big deal to them. But the PR is the real issue. How we can overcome the problem will take some work. The fight goes on!

    Walmart is old news for them now. Next they move to ban all online sales of ammo.
