Oregon is Open Carry . Waistband could have been OC , if shirt tucked in , and no jacket, etc covering pistol .

Like I said the article lacks details. I noticed it doesn't say it discharged while holstering, but then again these are modern "Journalists":innocent0
    This caught my eye:
Police say Ellingford mistakenly pulled the trigger as he stuffed the weapon back into his pants.

there are 350 million people in the country, in any given week, day, or in fact hour or minute someone is doing something utterly stupid. The press has an agenda of giving any bad story with "gun" in it a lot more play.

On the week the girl shot the instructor with an uzi, a kid in my sisters town ran over and killed an adult helping them on a jetski. The uzi story from front page or its web and broadcast equivalent nearly everywhere in the US and played prominently for a week. It still gets mention. The woman killed by the girl driving the jet ski story did not make it outside of the local press.

Well, you know what happens when you mistakenly pull the trigger.
    What happens?
Folks in our own community will blame the gun because “it’s a Glock”. :sad20:
    And... this...

The media gets a nut reporting it because “GUNZ R BAD!”.
Death by any other device... is just not the same.
