******It's already being spoken about here in this area on the book of faces. There are a lot of Moms Demand Action members here in MoCo and they are very much for this sort of policy here in the US, except they also want to ban handguns as well. Forcible confiscation, whatever it takes - as long as it's not them doing the confiscation, or any of their relatives...

I have no doubt. Unfortunately for them, unlike Canada we have the 2A. Our Constitution makes armed revolt legal.

Fort Yukon and fire 7 or 8 shots from the hip.

Aren’t detachable magazine rifles restricted to 5 round mags in Canadia?

Sounds like a “high capacity” magazine saved a life.

Fort Yukon, ALASKA. No magazine restrictions there.

So this 1500 "Assault Weapons" is total BS in the number. They padded the heck out of the list for numbers sake. Because if some Canadians are this well armed, they might could take us in a fair fight.

Yeah, no kidding. Half the guns they're banning are AR-pattern rifles, and they listed every single one as a separate item on the list. Seriously, 31 pages of ARs. AKs were already banned in Canada, otherwise they would've been touting having banned 3000 "assault weapons". I did enjoy how they used black-and-white drawings of all the newly-banned guns at the bottom of the CBC article, so that all of them would look like "scary black rifles", even the Ruger Mini-14, with its wooden stock and furniture that looks like something a farmer would have to shoot coyotes. Gotta play up the fear factor, folks!

There were more murders in Baltimore alone last year than all the people killed with all the guns in all of Canada that same year. And more than half of those Canadian murders were with handguns, which weren't banned today (though just you wait, I'm sure that'll be coming too). And the article even admits that 70-90% of gun crimes in Canada are committed by illegal guns, largely smuggled in from the US. This ban is going to affect 100,000 law-abiding citizens, and will have zero effect on crime. Insane.

Buried near the bottom of the Canada Gazette piece are a couple of paragraphs where it said the government consulted with various interest groups, but when it decided to implement the ban, they did so with no further consultation or announcements, because they didn't want there to be a run on the market. Almost like they knew damn well that a lot of people aren't going to comply with this.

As a Canadian, I'm embarrassed to read about this ridiculous gun-grab. It's sad that it makes Maryland look like a gun-friendly jurisdiction now. lol.

I googled and the news articles were coming backfrom 2018 talking about all out bans in Canada. Point being they just needed to have an incident so the to could act on it for the purpose of their ban and this last shooting was it.

Sad, how is one supposed to protect themself from .gov or criminals?

That's assuming all 30 rounds hit. Even then, it'll take a little while to bleed out. Unless you blow out the heart, disrupt the brain or severe the nervous system, I'd be willing to be that bear will close on you and kill you long before it bleeds out from .223 rounds.

Only about 1 second to cover the 50 feet if at full speed. But there are to many variables.

I'd feel safe with my at for bear protection personally. I would not want a bolt action, that's for sure.

    But....
Real men use blowguns and have to sit down when hunting because their massive balls make it hard to walk>>>>

What shocks me isn't the top speed, but how long they can keep it up. They can move a lot of weight a long way before they run out of steam.

This is not the running video I was seaching for, but it will do.

I just browsed the list. That's a lot of guns they are banning. They did get pretty specific. Good luck Canadian firearms enthusiasts. I can't believe this dbag is running their country. He put a hole in his own boat with this move. If Canadian opposition does not lash out the next election then they get what they deserve.

"The RCMP said the Nova Scotia shooter used banned firearms and was not licenced to own firearms"

So, he couldn't own guns, and the guns he used were illegal anyway but let's ban them.

    This sounds very familiar

They have two years to come to grips with their situation.

I think we’ll have Canadian confiscation and destruction videos to go along with the ones from Australia, in fairly short order.

They didn't make that list up overnight, I think that they have been working on this ban a long time.

Taking a country away from its people requires having a lot of contingency planning. Planning for this one was simple; the basic structure has been in place for a long time, used successfully in many places.

Once again, big city liberal progressive socialists and wannabe communists are gonna squeeze every last liberty out of the suburban and rural populace.

...at some point, there’s gonna be push back.

Y’all may think of Canadians as 9ussies and there are plenty of libtards there to be sure. There’s a whole helluva lot of country there and lots and lots of free range Canucks who don’t cotton to rules and who are quite accustomed to freedom and liberty.

Might be a good time to stand back and watch.

Bonus: First Nations/indigenous are almost worshipped as a distinct political entity. The pols and libs in Canada suck up to them at every turn. Many Canadian laws don’t apply to First Nations. That will be a great sideshow.

The Canadians didn’t throw off the British yoke by revolution. They seem to accept that the sole purpose of a firearm is hunting and target practice for hunting. Let’s see what happens when the government actually comes for their guns.

Unfortunately, I do not believe anything will happen. If the gun-owning populous do not get together right now to have this legislature amended, then their historical proclivity for passivity will likely prevail.

Signal 7 on that. Ive seen lots of capt crunch Australian footage but never an actual confiscation compilation.
One may however have knowledge for how big pike or musky are landed safely up north though.
