I’ve been keeping what I need while at home a little closer than normal as of late. My go to rifle would be an AR with the 92fs and possibly a Maine magnum 12g for thump duty as needed. Praying they’re never needed and this nonsense all comes to an end finally.

Depending on the outcome of the election, it will either end or continue.

I don’t believe it will end with the election either way. The libs want unrealistic concessions (like having NO police). The Democratic Party, IMO, wants to continue to move toward totalitarianism. They cannot afford to get rid of the guns that keep people in line.

And the political inuendos and behaviors of the BLM, Green Deal, Alti-fa socialist movements are pretty much "you are with us or we'll get you" behavior. The Dem bow because they want votes. They have no moral conviction or conscience to the Constitution and overall equality.

It was and is a coordinated, structured occurence the rioting and protests going first nationwide and then world wide. Socialists are controlling the action, just waiting for catalyst events. I called this before some online research bore it out.

I'm thinking an AR pistol. Lots of different configurations available and easier to maneuver.

Whatever rifle you are proficient with and confident in your ability to hit what you aim at. All the high speed, low drag gear or weapons you can afford don't mean shit if you don't know how to use it properly. Training and or practice are key to familiarity in non stressed situations and especially in high stress situations.

With common calibers so scares, I would lean towards an AK 74, maybe two for redundancy and spare parts. You can still find 5.45 easy enough and relatively cheap.

Why doesn’t everyone have > 10,000 rounds for their SHTF gun?

Don't know, but my plan has always been, shoot the ammo of your enemies. I don't see us being taken over by the commies. My ammo of first choice will be NATO in nature.

Some folks just dint have the space doc. I don’t, not for 10,000 rounds of each caliber.

I learned a hard lesson in 2013 when I was new to guns, and am fine to shoot what I want as I have plenty.

But 10k is a lot of storage space if you live in a small house with kids

Just a few thousand for your SHTF gun. I can't afford 10,000 of each caliber. That would be enough to retire on....

Kids have bedrooms. They can use the crates as desks and chairs.
