    I have a 1956 BRNO Mod 2 with a serial # matching Meopta 3x scope.
Great rifle and still shoots very well.

The single shots any good? A 110 in .22 hornet has piqued my interest.

That’s a Brno. Not a Brno. Two different companies, related lineage. Iirc. Same town. Same short name. But not the same as the older rimfires being discussed. The old company made center fire rifles. Lots of good info on rfc. Look for Dancz and TOU.

I have a $200 Wideners gun not worthy of pictures. Also my favorite firearm. How does that happen? Lord knows how many thousands of dollars spent on gun related stuff and the favorite is an old cast off trainer.

I've never been a .22 guy but that is one I'd love to own!! What would you estimate the value on that to be?

    Hard to say.
I have done some research and it appears to be the only Mod 2 with a stamped serial # matching scope & mount in this country.
My Dad brought it into the US back in 1959 so it will never be for sale by me.

I have a Brno #2 with a similar scope and mounts from the same year. The Serial numbers on the scope do not match those on the rifle however. The wood could use a restore, but has interesting figure.

Here is one of my Model 1 rifles, which are some of my favorite shooters.

And this is one of my semi-auto Brno's, a Model 611 in .22 mag.

Could I see a close up pic of the front sight hood on your Model 2 please.
Not easy to find a Model 2 with an original sight hood. Seems many/most people must have removed them after purchase.
