I have a friend with a 3yo Wingmaster that's been back to Remington twice and still can't cycle shells. I think I'd rather have one of these.

Yeah, Remington after Freedom Group acquired them is inferior to old school Remington. Although the Express is the lower cost line.

Best of luck. It's your money. You might want to get a gunsmith's opinion, rather than counting on one anecdotal experience. A sample size of one might not serve you well.

Yeah, a 3 year old Wingmaster isn't even close to the same quality of a 20-year-old Express. Old WM vs. new WM is not even close to a fair comparison, either. Old is better by miles.

There are threads in the WC bitching about “price gouging” yet no one purchased one of these?

Remington can't manage to stay afloat during a gun buying frenzy or make a proven 70yo design work, but you tell yourself that.

That’s because the people bitching in that thread probably sent the link to their friends in need to buy. Or better yet, bought them all up to give to orphans.
