Mine is a old Marlin 444 , Straight stock with a Weaver 2.5X scope . She's the second hunting rifle I ever bought and it was from a coworker that said his wife said it had to go because they were having a baby and he won't be able to hurt anymore .

This is the saddest thing I've read in a long time!

If the new neighbors don't move in till after firearms season to kill my setback distance, I"m using my Trapdoor in 45-70 because "I Can".

Marlin 1895 Guide Gun in 45-70. Just recently mounted a Vortex Scout scope and will be heading to the range in the next week or so to zero it in!

Derwood: Check out the Ashley Performance Marlin scope mount.

I have an 1894 Matlin Cowboy in 44 Magnum with a 24" barrel as my choice for straight wall.

Just ordered a 20" Bushmaster 450 Bushmaster upper from Midway this weekend. It's supposed to arrive this week. Scope shopping now.

Did the same thing ! Going to borrow my Leupold VXR 1-4 with ADM mount from another build until decide. Woods I hunt not too many long shots available so should do the trick.

I have an AR in 350 legend, a Glock G20 (10MM) and I just picked up a monkey gun...(Hi Point in 10MM) and a Marlin .357...so I have options. Actually I am hoping to kill one with each, along with my old side lock percussion muzzle loader during the new primitive weekend in Feb...

Was planning to stick with archery, shotguns, & muzzleloaders this year, but I keep tripping over this thread and now I find myself needing more cowbell.

Have a Marlin 1894cb in .44 mag already and just bid/won a Marlin 1895cb in .45-70 for some double duty here and at the undisclosed location. The '95 should be available for pickup Thursday or Friday. :)

I picked up some spent brass for a 350 at the range the other day and it almost looked like the primer was slightly crimped in. Thought that was interesting, first time I had seen brass for one.
It seemed like a smart little cartridge that would do well in a rook style rifle or even a low wall single shot for plinking or close range hunting.

How about a Big Horn Armory lever gun in .460 or .500 S&W? Or .454 Casull if you want less recoil.

Finally got it to the range on Friday. Scope was pretty close @ 50 after bore sighting. Here is what it did with Hornady 325 grain Leverevolution. Recoil is a bit heavy but manageable.

Just picked up a Ruger American bolt gun in 350 Legend from Anglers. With a 16" barrel it is short and light, looks like a youth firearm. I know I am jumping on the bandwagon but it just makes sense. No more searching all around for overpriced sabot slugs, no more mule kicking recoil and no more lugging around a heavy H&R slug gun. I support this rule change 100%. I also support the night time coyote hunt all year round. That needed to happen. Good luck to everyone this season.

Amen, I’ve got an H&R slug gun as well and every year it gets heavier. At my age it’s beginning to feel like I’m hauling light artillery through the woods.

Looking for a .350 locally and hopefully before firearms season.
