had one lay down on my corn pile this year when deer hunting. watched him eat for almost a full hour. figured the 45-70 would be overkill and was waiting on a buck that never showed

    Which begs the question.......

    Which caliber for coyote?

I assume a .223/5.56 platform would be pretty decent?

In Garrett Co, There every where... Have 11 under my belt from the last 6 years...The 223 is awesome for em... Dont tear up the hide like my 7mm Mag does....:party29:

Furbearers permit with you regular hunting licence. I am not sure about what is legal to use. If I am not mistaken you can only use a slug to hunt deer with here in MD and I dont know if that goes with other game also. (please correct me if I am wrong.)

Either way they are a blast to hunt. Who wants to get after em?

Depends on where you are hunting. We hunt deer with shotgun, rifle, bow and crossbow. Depends on the county.

Be careful what you post. The season, yes Maryland has a season, is from Oct.15 till March 15. I've seen 2 around Berlin. 223 Federal Ballistic tips work fine.

I'm sorry, just called DNR and they say that the Oct. 15 till March15 is only for at night hunting. If you see him during the day you can smoke em., which I did about a week ago.:party29:
