i am thinking maybe these are guns not on banned list?

I'm also thinking that, because they listed "Ruger Mini-14 Autoloading Rifle (w/o folding stock)" but not a Mini-14 WITH a folding stock.

Unless this is an Pro-AWB, where they want people to ONLY own "Assault Weapons."

It would be funny if they drafted the law that way, and the only guns you could get at Wal-Mart would be WASR's and Century AR-15's lol....

That is the list of guns that will not be banned.

So is this like a giant "approved gun roster" and anything not on it is unavailable for purchasing?

Its my opinion that everyone should write a letter/call/e-mail your Reps but the reality of the situation is that if HR1022 has not gone anywhere this one isn't likely to either.....especially with less than 10 sponsors.....at least not in the 110th Congress at least.

All bets are off for the 111th based upon how November goes.

Rest up and be ready for a busy year next year...it might be a tough one.

Maybe ever draft a few basic letters on your computer in advance that you can tailor to the occasion so that its not difficult next year to pull a quick letter from the nether regions in a flash.

Buy some envelopes and some of those "Forever" stamps the Post Office is selling......put them in a box and be ready for next year......then buy a couple k rounds and a few more black rifles.

And the gun has to have some "features". For instance, most "California legal" type AR15s will not be effected, but the new Remington R-15 with a collapsible stock will be banned.
