I have a Mec 9000g Progressive 12ga Loader, Got it dialed in for win AA shells. I am going to start loading the Rem STS hulls with Rem STS 209 Primers. My problem is the Primers are sitting proud, I have adjusted the primer Seater and some are still pround, kind of messes up the works on a Progressive. I am going to adjust the primer seater down a bit and see what happens.
I am open to Ideas for those that may have had the same problem.

I had this problem with one brand of primer, a foreign brand whose name I forget. No adjustment worked for me so I just bought a lock washer that fit the primer ram hole and dropped it in and it cured the problem. You just have to remember it is in there if you ever have a missed primer and you dump the powder out.

I never had this problem with Winchester or CCI primers.

    Thanks,
I think I figured it out , Got the primers to seat flush, Now the bar lock won't release. I am just disabling it while I am loading and re-engage when down to the last shell.

I have MEC 600's, 650's and Sizemasters and, when I shot several gauges, I used to change dies. I always found it best to go back to the MEC instructions and start from scratch. If I didn't do this, something sure as hell would get screwed up.

Maybe you should give that a try.

    Regards,

    John
