After long time of only hunting Landowner in Maryland , I am hankering to again go elsewhere in Md .

Looking quickly on the 'net , seems to be $24.50 plus $6 muzzle loader . Am I missing something ? Are Deer Stamp a thing again ? Last I bought a Md License , they just came as Consolidated .

Usually the home turf is for squeezing in the odd cpl of hours . If I can take off extended time, usually go to Va .

I’m gonna piggy back off you OP. Can anyone tell me about the apprentice license? We have a squirrel hunt in 3 weeks my buddy finished everything for his license but the practical (scheduled late October). Can he buy the apprentice license and hunt with us? It would actually be his first time ever hunting. The rest of us have had licenses for a combined over 150 years

Yes, or he can do the Texas online hunters Ed. That counts toward the MD hunting license.

I got a general license, bow and muzzleloader and furbearer. It was $40.50 I believe. You need the furbearer to shoot coyotes.

With the Texas does he still have to do the practical? That’s all he’s waiting on but thank you for confirming my apprentice license question!

Nope, no field day. It's 100% online. It might cost $10-20 bucks, I can't remember.

Consolidated License went the way of the Dodo years ago.

With the regular license, deer firearms season is included. For Deer Archery Season and Deer Muzzleloader Season additional stamps are required.

Bonus stamps are available for ANTLERED deer. State has been divided into 2 zones, Zone A(Western Washington County, Garrett and Allegheny Counties) and Zone B. Bag limits in Zone B are pretty generous for antlerless.

    On a hill in Wv
Costs me about $200 for a non resident license with archery and muzzleloader stamp. All that to hunt on my own land that I pay taxes on out the ass.

I threw in the $15 for the bear lottery.

When if ever, will bear tags just be allotted and available for purchase?

Surely by now they must have enough tagged/chipped to just sell tags and then a certain number of out out of state tags made available.

We have a family member that owns a pretty substantial amount of acreage near Accident.

I wonder how that works for landowner and tags with bears?

Can you just get a DNR ID and check them in like deer or still have to do the lottery?

I never looked in to it.
