Right... just them damn ink card fingerprints they want

Utah only needs them once. No resubmitting them for renewal. Just $25 fee, submit updated photo and watch a safe storage and handling video (~ 7 minutes) and you're good for 5 more years.

Actually, PA does this. They aren’t “commie”, are they?

They're not "commie" but they are immensely frustrating. York has their CCW gestapo and Lancaster doesn't issue any non resident permits anymore. I went to Adams county since they're not douche bags.

OP's buddy might be confusing his interpretation for how you can no longer use a non resident FL permit to carry in PA, and PA will not issue a non resident permit unless you have a permit from your state of residence. So MD, NY, and NJ residents have not been able to easily carry in PA for several years.

They might be after this election since they removed signature verification on mail ballots and a bunch of election staff resigned.

But either way, this is really annoying and probably just exists to punish pro 2A people in adjacent states. What would it take in PA politically to change this?

My 2A friends in Pa do have this on their radar , but it is well down in the mid list of priorities , and there is legislative resistance .

I believe your coworker is mistaken. MD will not recognize any other states non-resident (nor resident) carry permit. I have Utah and NH and carry whenever I leave the Socialist Republic.

PA also doesn't accept Utah or NH non-resident when it used to. However in most places in the rural part of PA you can open carry without a permit. Its a pain in the butt, because I used to carry in PA all the time, then the Kane woman rescinded all the non resident reciprocity agreements. The legislature was suppose to vote to take it a way from her and the AG, but then Corbit got ran out of office because people got upset about Penn State, and now they are pissed they have a communist Wolf in charge. You get what you vote for.

Word on the street is that Kane’s election was financed (read bought) by Bloomberg.
