Modern firearm prices Hmm, they going to be insane or just no deals/bargains?

Most things there are usually priced insane anyway. It comes with the area. Deals to be had at that show have always been counted on one hand for me.

I go for mags, and that's about it. Once in a while it's nice to be able to look through a range of optics in person, or handle some aftermarket stocks/grips and whatnot. But that sort of experience is never easy or pleasant in that scene ... so, buy mags (usually at full boat, which is really just me paying the I Live In Maryland Tax), and outa there. I've done enough of that in the last couple shows that at this point I'm not sure it's worth the hassle. There sure ain't gonna be ammo or guns at compelling prices.

Do they still offer free admission and jump to the head of the line if you join the NRA that day? Might have some "converts" to send their way.

Noticed in the original post that this is still true. Is that current?

I have no inside information that it will be true in July, but I went to the show just before the wuflu crackdown and the free ticket with renewal was available then. I go at least 2-3 times a year and the NRA table has always been there offering free tickets.

Thanks for the info. I will pass it on so if they go they can check on the possible option.

Are they actually going to hold this?

    OK...July, not June. There's a fighting chance.

Hopefully. I noticed several weeks ago that June was cancelled but July was not. I didn't post anything right away, to see if they were going to change the status.

So far it appears to be a go.

There is positively no way in hell I will be anywhere near this.

Exclusive of the COVID issue, there will be a high likelihood of some mentally ill person doing something violent. This is a huge ripe target, given the level of violence that is occurring.

You think so? I feel like that place is armed to the teeth.. even with everyone ‘allegedly’ checking their CCW at the door.

The parking lot isn't secure and let's be honest about the quality of the "security" at the door. I know no one has ever given me more than a cursory glance, not that there was any more reason to do so.

This'll be interesting considering the intersection of COVID and VA's newly restrictive gun laws just went into effect.
