    Well, that's lovely. I have a service call off Warwick, which I think is in that area, since we have a tech in that area off. Thanks for the heads up.

    Drivers should be alert for a detour steering them away from northbound and southbound Marriottsville Road between US 40 and MD 144 starting Tuesday. The stretch of road is being repaved. Weather permitting, the project will be completed by early June.

    During construction hours, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., traffic will follow a marked detour using US 40 and MD 144. According to Howard County officials, a recorded message at 410-313-3637 will carry detour information and project updates.


    "Between US 40 and MD 144" is that short little stretch south of 40 that sees relatively little traffic anyway. Marriottsville Road ends at 144.
