There's a bunch of YouTube videos that jury-rig a taser to a rat trap. Some work really well.

We’ve picked off mice in our cabin/house in WV with blow guns for fun.
Not as effective as traps and poison but fun.

(Some )of us have picked off rats in yards with pellet rifles and night vision with success. Have a hart traps baited with peanut putter has worked well for catching rats when we had a problem then dispatch with your preferred medthod after catching. but Baltimore county is generally a no no with pellet guns but depending on your neighbors.
Seriously exterminator with bait or traps best solution

Illegal in Maryland. Only one other state outlaws flame throwers, can you guess which one?

Whatever mice you do kill, just be sure to take them straight to the county check-in station. Of course, you need a mouse stamp for each one. Do not get caught with an un-tagged mouse.
