I recently traded for this 97BD with another MDS member. I was originally going to sell it, but the deal fell through, and I decided to keep it. After shooting it, I'm really glad I did. The gun has a Cajun Gun Works conversion, an LPA adjustable sight and the CGW rubber grips, which I prefer for shooting. The aluminum panels were also with the gun. I added a S/S guide rod. I had fired CZ's before, but had never considered owning one. This gun is a fantastic shooter. Great trigger, and the 1911 bushing conversion make the barrel very tight in the slide. I have been a confirmed believer in my Sig P220's, but this 97 is an excellent gun on its own merits.

I just picked up my first CZ from 7-day purgatory today. 75D PCR. It easily has the best feel in the hand out of any compact that I've ever handled.

That is what I have for my latest acquisition. It is a nice and solid pistol. However, it doesn't shoot nice grouping like my M&P M2.0 Compact. I wonder if it is just my grip.

Mrs. Occam likes her full-sized, customized CZ 75 (the "Tac II"), as it's a treat in a range environment ringing steel and whatnot. Then she goes to shoot a tidy little Glock or other carry-ish piece, and finds that the lightweight poly frames are just too easy to wave around and slower to get back on target. I'm thinking she might just have to get her hands on one of these. Must not use the standard 75 mags though, right?

Great looking pistol. Form following function.

Great looking pistol. Form following function.

It uses a slightly shorter mag (like Glock 19 vs 17), but the full size CZ 75 mags fit and feed properly in all the 75 compact models, including the PCR and P01, however, they will protrude from the grip about 1/2" or so.

Unlike Glock, Ruger, etc, I have not been able to find the little slide-on sleeve adapters to cover the gap for CZ compact models. You can put on a higher baseplate, but that seems less convenient to me.

Unlike Glock or Ruger, CZ magazines are hard to find at Bass Pro or Cabela's. It is mainly online shopping. They are well made by Mec-Gar.

You can even use the full size mags in the subcompact 2075 Rami, which comes with a 10 round mag and a compact size mag with a sleeve adapter.

    Pic stolen from innerwebs:

I was at the range today shooting my CZ75D PCR. It was much better than the last time. The problem was my grip. It is one sweet gun!

Good to hear. I took mine out back today to get some shots in. It's definitely a fun shooter. It did its part. I had to knock of the rust from not shooting in the last month or so. First 5 shots out of it are pictured (from 15 yds unsupported).

The only thing that I am lukewarm on it with are the sights. I'm probably going to switch them out with some Dawson Precision night sights from Cajun Gun Works.

Cross posting from the Rimfire Porn thread. This us my first every 22 conversion for anything, let alone for a big ol' chunky thing like my Shadow 2. The kit seems very well made, mates to the Shadow 2 well. Will have a change to take it for a test drive this weekend. If it behaves well, it will pay for itself in un-shot 9mm in pretty short order.

I’ve had that same conversion kit on my CZ75 SP01 and it has been reliable and accurate. I added a threaded barrel and it worked well as a suppressor host. You’ve got some good times ahead.

Where did you find a threaded barrel? reason I ask is I have found a few online but they state they are 1/2 x20 not 1/2×28 ?
