    These are some specific purposes that I chose to buy these particular firearms. In general I like to tinker with guns and take them apart and perfectly maintain them. I like how different firearms feel in the hand and feel on the shoulder. How they swing in the field or blind. I try never to get another gun until Im proficient at shooting, take down and reassembly, cleaning. Proper training is also VERY important. Firearm ownership and collecting is a serious pastime that is a lot of fun and rewarding.

    I have guns for 3 reasons:

    1. I inherited them
    2. I think it's important to have firearms for home and self defense
    3. I like them and want them - that's reason enough

    In regard to what I have or am planning on getting, I just want to fill in the gaps in what I have - current gaps in my collection:

    357 double action revolver
    Newer 44 magnum revolver (The new releases of the Colt Python and Anaconda should take care of that nicely)
    compact/sub-compact carry gun (won't have much use for it in MD, but one day...)
    AR10 - because I want one
    Tacticool Precision bolt rifle - possibly in a varmint caliber - not much use in MD, but maybe one day
