    I am kind of disappointed that it does not float. More of a back pack rifle than a survival rifle.
    I think it floats, and I've yet to see one that sinks. The inside of the device insures that it will float (unless you fill it full of ammo as I've seen many do). The stock floats with the barrel down and the stock up. When the weather warms up, I may fill a trash can with water and see if it sinks.

    No, the early Armalite ones had foam filling in the stock. So if water got in, it would still float.

    But the Henry ones do not. If you tape the joint of the butt plate to stock, it will keep floating.

    But otherwise, it will leak and eventually sink.

    Even James Bond knew the Armalite AR-7 was one of the best sniper rifles :D
